Pierre Blondel
Managing Director, Gabon
Pierre Blondel is responsible for managing the development of the Grande Mayumba project. Pierre has extensive experience in Gabon’s forestry and timber processing industry, having first arrived in the country in 2004 when he was appointed General Manager to establish and grow a greenfield timber business exporting to several countries.
In this role, he was responsible for all management operations related to forestry, transport, logistics, sales and export. He has also worked for several businesses in the timber trade in France. He joined ACDG (then SFM Africa) in 2011 as Country Manager in Gabon, responsible for all management, administrative, financial and operational functions, with 100 staff members employed. Pierre holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Timber and Forestry Engineering.
